Tilting Your Head Back: Causes the spray to run down your throat, which can be unpleasant and reduces effectiveness.

Aiming Straight Up or Towards the Septum: Increases the risk of irritation, nosebleeds, and (in extremely rare cases) damage to the septum.
Overusing Decongestant Sprays: This is the #1 cause of rebound congestion, making your original congestion worse.
Using a Dirty Nozzle: Always wipe the tip clean to prevent introducing bacteria into your nose and the bottle.
